In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and analysis to support clinical diagnostics and research initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to accurate patient assessments, clinical trials, and laboratory management, ensuring high-quality results that advance patient care and scientific discovery. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about laboratory science, medical technology, and improving health outcomes through precise and efficient work. Duties Collect and process specimens including blood samples via venipuncture and blood banking techniques, ensuring proper labeling and handling. Perform laboratory tests such as ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and other assay procedures with accuracy and consistency. Manage laboratory information systems to record, track, and analyze data efficiently while maintaining meticulous records of all test results and procedures. Conduct routine laboratory techniques including blood sampling, specimen processing, and maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Assist in clinical trials by preparing samples, executing assays, and analyzing data related to physiology and anatomy studies. Maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pipettes, microscopes, and flow cytometers; perform calibration and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, medical terminology standards, and hospital or clinical laboratory regulations to uphold the highest quality standards. Support laboratory management tasks including inventory control of reagents, supplies, and specimens; ensure proper storage conditions are maintained. Collaborate with healthcare professionals by providing vital signs data, assisting with venipuncture procedures, and supporting blood banking activities when necessary. Experience Proven clinical laboratory experience with a strong background in performing assays such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, and immunoassays. Hands-on experience with specimen collection techniques including venipuncture (blood sampling) and phlebotomy in a hospital or clinical setting. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry, tracking samples, and generating reports. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to physiology, anatomy, blood banking, and general medical terminology. Experience working within research laboratories or clinical trial environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of laboratory techniques such as RNA extraction, DNA isolation, blood banking procedures, and aseptic techniques.
