•Gadsden, AL We are seeking a Progressive Care Unit LPN , sometimes referred to as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an important role our hospital by providing hands-on care to patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic or acute illnesses, or undergoing diagnostic procedures. Working alongside RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care our hospital's Progressive Care (PCU) Unit, LPNs focus on assisting with patient care and ensuring comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Monitor and record vital signs, observe for cardiac distress symptoms, and report telemetry changes to nurses or physicians Administer oral and injectable cardiac medications and monitor for side effects such as hypotension or electrolyte imbalances Assist with pre

•and post-op cardiac procedures, prepare patients for diagnostic tests, and support recovery from cardiac events Educate patients on cardiac diets, medications, fluid restrictions, and maintain clear communication with families and care teams Accurately document all patient care activities and observations in the electronic health record system Work under the supervision of other nurses and report directly to them regarding patient care issues

Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current IV certification upon hire (state specific) One year experience in an applicable setting, preferred Full benefits at
