This role is responsible for leading infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility while supporting quality resident care and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a strong clinical professional who is organized, proactive, and passionate about maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the facility Infection Prevention and Control Program Monitor, track, and report infection trends throughout the building Conduct surveillance, audits, and investigations related to infections and outbreaks Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, state, and federal infection control regulations Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices and protocols Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams on quality initiatives Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to infection control Participate in QAPI and facility performance improvement initiatives Assist with implementation of policies and procedures related to infection preventionQualifications:
Active Alabama RN or LPN license required Infection prevention experience in skilled nursing or healthcare preferred Strong knowledge of infection control standards and regulations Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership and staff Why Join Rivertown Health and Rehab?
