Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/LPN, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a health clinic setting. This energetic position combines clinical expertise with medical administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations and positive patient experiences. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care in diverse medical environments. Your dedication will help us uphold the highest standards of patient service, safety, and efficiency. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Assist with clinical tasks such as administering medications, giving injections, and obtaining vitals. Support physicians during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring necessary supplies are available. Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, updating records, and coordinating follow-up care. Maintain compliance with ICD coding standards for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining treatments, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Assist with urgent care procedures, including wound care, medication administration, and initial assessments for trauma cases. Requirements Valid LPN license or Medical Assistant certification with relevant clinical experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Ability to perform clinical skills such as taking vital signs, X-ray support, and assisting in medical or procedural settings. Basic life support (BLS) certification and additional certifications in emergency medicine or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) are a plus. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients. Strong organizational skills to manage intake processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
