Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Administer medications, including injections, IV infusions, and tube feedings, following all safety protocols and documentation standards. Monitor vital signs, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate residents' health status regularly. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Practice infection control procedures diligently, including sterile technique and specimen collection/processing. Respond promptly to urgent situations such as acute pain management or emergency triage, ensuring resident safety at all times. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living or long-term care facilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical office procedures, medical terminology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and HIPAA regulations is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and patient assessment.
