MEDICATION NURS-PRN.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Medication Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care and medication management services to residents in an assisted living community. This position promotes resident health, safety, dignity, and independence through medication administration, health monitoring, resident assessments, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, families, and the care team. The LPN practices within the Arizona Nurse Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, physician, or licensed independent practitioner as required by state regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Medication Management Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and community policies. Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions. Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs). Coordinate medication refills and pharmacy communications. Conduct medication audits and ensure regulatory compliance. Resident Care Observe, monitor, and document changes in resident condition. Perform nursing assessments and communicate concerns to physicians and the clinical team. Obtain and monitor vital signs. Provide wound care and nursing treatments within LPN scope of practice. Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharge processes. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Qualifications Qualifications Required Current Arizona Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Knowledge of medication administration practices and geriatric nursing principles. Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Ability to pass a background check and meet state employment requirements.
