Job Description

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. Reporting to the nursing supervisor, your core responsibilities will include patient assessment, catheterization, and administering basic life support. Your strong communication skills will enhance interactions with patients and their families. With premium skills in critical care and long-term care, you will effectively support diverse patient needs.
Accountability :
Is directly accountable to the Registered Nurse. Works collaboratively with facility staff, anesthesia providers, and physicians.
Qualifications :
Current LVN Licensure. BLS certification required. Reflects maturity and confidence in communication skills. Dependable adherence to work schedule. Medical-related work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Able to lift 20 pounds (instrumentation and supplies). Physical ability to perform CPR. Able to assist in the transfer of patients with appropriate number of personnel and/or devices. Travel may be necessary to nearby centers.
Pre- and Post-Anesthesia Care :
Assessment of the patient. Administration of ordered PO, Rectal, IM medications. Narcotic PO medications only under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Patient and family education. Discharge of patients. Other duties may include but are not limited to the following: Pre-operative phone calls. Post-operative phone calls. Participation in JCAHO and Medicare audits. Assists in department communications. Answers phones and relays messages. Couriers messages, as appropriate. Relates patient or family inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Pay:
$43.00 - $45.00 per hour
