Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide afterschool nursing support for students in a school-based setting. This contract position will focus on delivering general primary care services and supporting students with specialized healthcare needs, including diabetes management and feeding tube care. The ideal candidate is student-focused, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with school staff and families to ensure student health and safety.
Responsibilities:
Provide general primary care nursing services to students during afterschool hours. Monitor and support students with diabetes, including blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration (as authorized), and recognition of diabetic emergencies. Assist students requiring feeding tube care in accordance with physician orders and established care plans. Assess student health concerns and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed. Maintain accurate health documentation and nursing records. Monitor student wellness and respond to medical emergencies as needed. Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs. Ensure compliance with all applicable nursing standards, school policies, and state regulations.
Qualifications:
Current, active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. Experience working with pediatric patients preferred. Experience with diabetes care and feeding tube management preferred. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Monday through Friday 3pm - 6pm
Hours:
3 hours per day during afterschool programming
