Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for an engaging after-school program running throughout the school year, August through June. This part-time, contract opportunity is ideal if you're passionate about pediatric care and want to make a direct impact on the well-being of children in a school setting. In this position, you'll work Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm, providing essential healthcare services to students participating in the after-school program. Your expertise and presence ensure that students receive compassionate, attentive care every afternoon.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid LVN or LPN license in California Previous pediatric, school-based, or childcare healthcare experience preferred CPR certification (current and valid) Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer first aid, medications, and routine healthcare procedures Respond promptly to student health needs and emergencies Maintain accurate health records and documentation Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and caregivers Support care plans for students with chronic medical needs or allergies Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and infection control standards
