We are searching for an experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our organization. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Camellia Women's Health is a long-standing private OB/Gyn practice serving the Sacramento region for over 45 years. Our practice has consistently provided the most compassionate, comprehensive, and excellent care to the women of our community. While mostly providing OB/Gyn care, our practice does also offer primary care services. Thus, a Women's Health or a Family Practice practitioner would be a good fit. CWH providers care for the most vulnerable of our communities, caring for many Medi-Cal patients and providing care to some of the highest risk obstetrics patients in the area. We perform all deliveries and major surgical procedures at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael. Our offices span the valley, from the Capitol Mall to Granite Bay and Folsom. Responsibilities Patient Assessment and Diagnosis v Conduct comprehensive health assessments including preventive care and problem-directed evaluations v Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic gynecologic illnesses v Manage the care of women before, during, and after pregnancy v Address primary care concerns, where appropriate v Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests Treatment Planning and Management v Develop and implement patient care plans, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals of the organization v Prescribe medications and therapies v Provide health promotion and disease prevention education Collaboration and Consultation v Work independently and under the supervision of the CWH physicians v Collaborate with other healthcare professionals both within and outside the Camellia Women's Health organization v Consult with physicians and specialists as needed v Coordinate patient care across various settings Schedule v Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with one hour lunch break v No weekends or evening/overnight calls v PTO offered v Flexibility in scheduling Qualifications v A valid and unrestricted license to practice within the state of California v Nationally recognized certification as determined by Medi-Care v Completion of any state-mandated educational courses v At least one year of experience as NP or PA v Skills should include ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with changing priorities; ability to work effectively and compassionately with patients of extremely diverse backgrounds, languages, religions, and ethnicities; proficiency in typing and ability to learn new EMR software if needed.
