A school-based contract opportunity is available for a caring and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) ready to support student health and safety. Desired Qualifications:
Current, active LPN or LVN license in California Previous experience working in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred Solid understanding of child development, immunizations, and standard nursing protocols Exceptional communication and documentation skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations Compassionate attitude and a passion for supporting youth
Role Responsibilities:
Administer medications, treatments, and minor first aid according to doctor's orders and school policies Perform student screenings, immunization documentation, and daily health assessments Cooperate with staff on care plans for students with chronic illnesses or special medical needs Maintain accurate, confidential health records in compliance with regulations Educate students and staff about healthy habits, hygiene, and disease prevention Respond to daily health concerns or emergencies with professionalism and care This contract position lets you utilize your nursing skills in a meaningful, supportive atmosphere.
