NOC Salary Range $28-$35 an Hour BOE Join Our Compassionate Clinical Team at Garden City Health Care Center Garden City Health Care Center, a skilled nursing facility located in Modesto, CA, is currently seeking qualified and caring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our nursing team. As an LVN at Garden City, you will play a critical role in the delivery of resident care, team leadership, and compliance with clinical standards in a supportive environment that promotes professional growth.
Key Responsibilities Administrative & Leadership:
Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants during assigned shifts Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to care plans and facility policies Participate in staff evaluations, orientation, training, and quality assurance initiatives Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams Respond to incidents, complete documentation, and escalate concerns to
Nurse Supervisor Clinical Care & Documentation:
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders Monitor and chart resident health status and care interventions Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with proper documentation Participate in care planning and discharge planning processes Maintain accurate records in compliance with state, federal, and facility requirements
Infection Control & Safety:
Enforce hand hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures Participate in emergency preparedness and fire/disaster drills Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment Ensure proper use of PPE and disposal of medical waste Qualifications Current LVN license in good standing with the California Board of Nursing CPR certification (required) Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly preferred Strong documentation, leadership, and communication skills Knowledge of PCC (PointClickCare) preferred Ability to lift, push, and move up to 25 lbs and assist in emergency situations Must pass background screening and meet facility health requirements What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time benefits including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays Ongoing education and training A supportive team culture focused on resident care and staff development If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in a professional and rewarding setting, apply today to join Garden City Health Care Center.
