Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate nursing services across diverse settings. Your skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation will ensure high-quality care delivery. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and acute medical needs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Administer medications accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and sterile techniques. Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, tube feedings, and ventilator care to support patient recovery and comfort. Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency settings to prioritize patient needs effectively. Document all patient interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards such as
ICD-9, ICD-10
coding, CPT coding, and accurate medical records management. Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care, including memory care strategies and discharge planning for post-acute or hospice patients. Assist with diagnostic evaluations involving laboratory experience, sonography, or medical imaging procedures. Support patients through physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, suture procedures, and infection control protocols. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication management, family planning, or post-discharge instructions. Experience (Not required but preferred) Proven LVN experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of advanced patient assessment methods for working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical conditions such as infectious disease care or pain management.
