As a licensed and certified LPN/LVN, you'll work closely with a single student, providing essential healthcare support throughout the school day. Your expertise will not only ensure the safety and comfort of the student, but also promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key qualifications:
Current, active LPN/LVN license or certification is required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong clinical skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and ancillary staff Excellent organizational skills and professional communication Willingness to ride the bus with student if required by the specific case What you'll do: Deliver one-on-one care to a designated student in accordance with their healthcare plan Administer routine medication, monitor for emergency needs, and manage medical equipment as required Track medical data, document care, and communicate observations with relevant team members Participate in meetings and adapt strategies to best serve the individual student's needs Maintain confidentiality and promote a nurturing, safe school experience Joining this supportive school-based setting gives you the chance to build meaningful connections and see the direct results of your dedication.
