1 Description American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a Home Health assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR proficiency. Details Home Health care setting Patient population includes wound care, wound vacs, new ostomies, post-surgical wounds, and cardiac patients with CHF, pneumonia, IV antibiotics, PICC line care, and labs No pediatric patients LVNs see up to 7 routine visits per day; no SOCs or recerts required Charting completed via HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) on a Samsung tablet Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hr day shifts with an hour for lunch, no weekends or holidays No case management or patient scheduling responsibilities No on-call or standby requirements No floating required Requirements Active LPN/LVN license required for state of practice, if applicable Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required BLS certification required (AHA) Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR experience required Experience with wound vacs, ostomies, and general wound care required Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care including wound care, wound vac management, ostomy care, and PICC line care Basic respiratory equipment used includes oxygen and nebulizers; no ventilator management required, and minimal CPAP involvement Home health aide services are limited, and travelers would not be expected to bathe patients Team includes RNs, LVNs, PT, OT, and social workers, supported by two supervisors and an administrator on call One week of orientation provided with an assigned preceptor, focused specifically on home health Scrubs are not required; neat, appropriate regular clothing is acceptable Located in Redding, a rural northern California community with access to mountains, lakes, and outdoor recreation
