Job Description
Gary D. Stromberg & Associates is looking for excellent and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in a School District in San Jose, CA for the 2026-27 School Year. Starting at $50/hr for the entire 2026-27 school year +sign-on bonus. Key Responsibilities Patient care delivery — Provide basic nursing care including vital signs, wound care, hygiene assistance, and comfort measures. Medication administration — Administer medications per California LVN scope of practice and facility protocols. Clinical documentation — Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records. Treatment support — Assist with procedures, diagnostic tests, and physician‑ordered interventions. Care coordination — Communicate patient status changes to supervising RNs and providers. Infection control — Follow state and facility infection‑prevention standards. Patient education — Reinforce care instructions and support patient understanding of treatment plans. Required Qualifications Active California LVN license in good standing. Current BLS certification (AHA preferred). Ability to meet physical demands (lifting 25-50 lbs, standing for extended periods). Clear background check and health screening per California regulations. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year LVN experience in acute care, long‑term care, outpatient, or home health.
