Job Description - Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Every Other Weekend Nights
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Villa Marin is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Health Services nursing team on an every-other-weekend night shift schedule. This position provides professional nursing care in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act, Title 22, and applicable regulations. In addition to the scheduled weekend shifts, this position may have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as staffing needs arise.
SCHEDULE
Every other weekend, night shift: 11:00 PM-7:30 AM Rate of pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials Additional shifts may be available for pickup, including nights, weekends, and holidays
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders Respond to emergency situations and expedite indicated treatment, secure follow-up assistance Make rounds to ensure that changes in treatment are addressed Visit residents by request to evaluate medical/emotional/nursing needs, pain management Inform Manager or Nursing/Doctor/Health Services Administrator of any events which may necessitate medical intervention Consult family members where indicated to ensure that residents' needs are met Maintain records, charts, and files as required Assess need for additional help or services for residents, coordinating with other departments to meet needs Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Provide direction and support to nursing assistants and other unit staff as needed
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing. At least one year of nursing experience preferred. Skilled Nursing or long-term care experience preferred. Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and resident care procedures. Experience working with geriatric residents and individuals with chronic care needs. Knowledge of medical equipment and its safe use and operation. Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Current CPR certification preferred.
REQUIREMENTS

TB testing and fingerprint clearance are required in accordance with California DSS/Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulations.
