Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current, valid LPN license in California Experience working with students or in a pediatric setting is preferred Familiarity with administering medications and medical care in an educational environment Strong communication and organizational abilities Capacity to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals CPR/BLS certification required Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to students with chronic and acute health needs Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to student care plans Monitor and document student health, maintaining accurate health records Respond to medical emergencies and implement first aid as needed Educate staff and students on health-related topics and promote health and safety practices Collaborate with school personnel and parents to support individual health plans Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as required Uphold confidentiality and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
