School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Santee, California Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Santee, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $33 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications LVN LPN Diabetes care Full Job Description Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Take your skills as a Licensed Vocational Nurse to the next level by supporting students across a local school district. This full-time contract opportunity offers 32 hours per week, floating between campuses to meet the diverse healthcare needs of students—especially those managing diabetes.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active LVN license in California Experience as an LVN/LPN within school or pediatric settings is preferred Comfortable working in a variety of school environments Ability to handle diabetic care and other daily medical tasks for students Strong communication and organizational skills
What You'll Do:
Provide health services and support to students, with a focus on diabetic care Travel to different campuses within the district as needed Administer medications and first aid per physician orders and established school protocols Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and medical professionals Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessary Educate students and staff on healthcare and wellness best practices
