Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct nursing care and health support to children in a school setting.

Job Description:

Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed. Seizure Support for individual student Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.

Pay :

$34-$37/hr. LVN /

Licensed Vocational Nurse Qualifications:

Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, including experience maintaining accurate records Active Licensed Vocational / Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) Licensure in the state of California required. Preferred nursing experience with children and familiarity with procedures such as diabetic care, g-tube feeds, catheterization, etc. Experience with Seizure and Diabetic support. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
