This contract position places you at the heart of school-based care, making a meaningful impact on a student's educational journey and well-being. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and unrestricted LVN/LPN license in California Previous experience working with children or in a school environment preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and attentive to detail Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring health conditions
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated, individualized nursing care to a student during school hours Monitor and manage the student's health status, including medication administration and daily treatments as prescribed Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers Respond to health emergencies, delivering immediate and appropriate care Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports academic and social success Participate in planning and implementing care plans according to Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements
