Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PT Haxtun Hospital District is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide safe, compassionate patient care through medication administration, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting the care team. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in both routine and emergency situations while maintaining a focus on patient safety.
Starting Pay Range:
$28.00/hr - $36.40/hr , depending on experience
Position Status:
Part-time, non-exempt
Shift:
Nights Shift Differentials:
Nights = +10% of base wage (after 6pm), Weekends = +15% of base wage

Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides safe, competent, and compassionate patient care within the scope of practice by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. This role includes administering medications, assisting with procedures and emergencies, performing patient rounding, and delivering patient and family education to support positive outcomes. The LPN monitors patient conditions, documents care accurately, and collaborates effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Responsibilities also include responding appropriately to emergent situations, maintaining compliance with policies and protocols, and promoting patient safety through proper use of clinical skills, equipment, and infection control practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current Colorado license as Licensed Practical Nurse IV Certification Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications:
