As an LPN, your responsibilities will include various patient care tasks including patient intake, Point of Care testing, triage phone calls, prepare and administer vaccines, update patient medical records, obtain prior authorizations for medications, and other duties as assigned in support of the physicians.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN Program and must have and maintain current a License as Practical Nurse in the State of Connecticut.

COMPETENCIES

Must maintain clinical competency required for area of assignment including Basic Cardiac Life Support Must be able to communicate effectively Possesses basic computer skills. Administer medications, in house testing, and give childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines Monitor temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure and keep accurate records Remain up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment and treatment procedures
