Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN Magnificus Corporation Washington, DC Job Details PRN From $1 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Direct patient care Diagnostic evaluation Transcription Legislation Medical management LPN Patient education Medical treatment implementation Full Job Description Immediate opening for Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) to support the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services, located in Washington, DC. Qualifications Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the District of Columbia and free from disciplinary actions. Have knowledge and skill in application of the team approach in providing patient care. Have knowledge of Federal and State specific legislation and court orders that apply to mandated programs, which are provided in a clinical setting. Have knowledge of current medical management and the ability to interpret treatment regime to patients, families and significant others. Have knowledge of routine and special drugs including normal dosage, administration, action, interaction and adverse reactions. Job Duties include but not limited to: Perform initial assessment, health history, nursing assessment, risk assessment, and request routine laboratory studies as directed on every consumer within two (2) hours of consumer's arrival. Perform visual, audiologist and tuberculosis (TB) screening within twenty-four (24) hours of admission, including a reading of the TB test results within forty-eight (48) hours of a consumer's admission to a treatment facility and enter all information in the consumer's medical chart as indicated or directed. Provide general nursing services Document nursing notes, observations of specific physical or behavioral signs and symptoms. Administer prescribed medication as ordered by a physician. Transcribe orders to the appropriate medication administration record. Perform trauma evaluation, including a body chart, as required. Document in specific details, superficial wounds, bums, skin infections and sutured wounds. Please submit resume for immediate consideration
