Job Description

SHIFTS:
We are looking to hire for the following shifts. Part time Days (7:00AM-7:00PM) Saturday & Sunday
EXPERIENCE
Experience in detox, substance abuse, mental health, or correctional settings (preferred but not required).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
  • Valid state driver's license, required.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Active Florida LPN License
KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures.
  • Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to plan, organize, delegate and supervise.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
include, but are not limited to: 1. Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are in place. 2. Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, basic first aid procedures, administer urinalysis to clients both randomly and as needed 3. Responsible for taking positive urinalysis result from POC and investigate results. 4. Responsible for entering each urinalysis toxicology order for all clients at the facilities. 5. Responsible for triaging medical issues and assessing clients' needs. 6. Record and assess clients' symptoms and health related complaints. 7. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the consulting physician; administer and maintain accurate count of controlled substances 8. Document client's medications, treatment and condition in charts. 9. Responsible for HIV/Hepatitis and Nutrition groups for both programs and notes associated with these groups. 10. Attend all scheduled staff meetings. 11. Keep neat, written logs on clients' activities. 12. Bring all significant questions, concerns and complaints to the attention of the counselors and/or administrative staff at the Center. 13. Complete all applicable paperwork i.e. medical logs, shift reports, MORs, etc. 14. Prompt and regular attendance. 15. Other duties as assigned by senior management.
