Competitive, based on experience and licensure We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for an active 11-year-old boy with medical and behavioral support. Patient Profile 11-year-old male Ambulatory and highly active Communicates primarily through a tablet Receives medications via G-tube History of seizures requiring ongoing monitoring and seizure precautions Requires behavioral support, redirection, and consistent routines Enjoys spending time outdoors and participates in daily walks and community activities Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications via G-tube Monitor for seizure activity and implement seizure precautions per care plan Provide skilled nursing assessments and documentation Support communication through tablet device Assist with behavioral interventions and maintain a safe environment Accompany patient on daily walks and outdoor activities, including during warm weather conditions, while monitoring hydration, heat tolerance, and overall safety Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities and community outings Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers Maintain accurate nursing notes and medication records Qualifications Current RN or LPN license in good standing Experience with G-tube medication administration required Experience caring for pediatric patients with seizure disorders required Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to medical and behavioral concerns Comfortable supporting an active child in both home and community environments CPR/BLS certification required Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ideal Candidate We are looking for a nurse who is energetic, attentive, and comfortable keeping up with a highly active child. The ideal candidate will be able to safely support daily outdoor walks and activities, provide skilled nursing care, monitor for seizures, and foster a positive, engaging environment while respecting the child's communication style and individual needs.
