Most nurses will be assigned to one school location, serving elementary, middle, or high school students within the health room setting. All LPNs will receive comprehensive orientation and training prior to starting, helping you transition smoothly into the school district setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Florida LPN license required High school diploma or GED Current CPR/BLS certification Previous school-based experience is a plus Ability to manage varying health needs of students Must complete or verify fingerprints via AHCA Clearinghouse; JLA badge procedures apply and may take up to three weeks What you'll do: Deliver attentive healthcare to students in the school health room Assess and respond to emergent and routine health issues throughout the day Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents Maintain accurate health records and support district health protocols Attend required orientation and ongoing training Pay ranges from $29-$30 per hour, depending on experience and assignment. You'll work 7-hour shifts per day, with assignments available on a part-time, PRN, or substitute basis.
