All shifts available. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to mental health and substance abuse patients.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Registered Nurse with the detox process.
  • Assists with the admission assessments and procedures for new patients.
  • Assist in the discharge preparation process.
  • Medication management/Performing medication passes at scheduled times. Administer medications as ordered.
  • Using verbal de-escalation techniques and interventions when needed
  • Implements nursing care plans with the Registered Nurses.
  • Completing daily progress notes on each patient
  • Taking vital signs
  • Responding to emergency codes promptly (i.e. medical emergency, psychiatric crisis, etc.)
  • Transcribing physician orders into the medication administration records
  • Communicating with staff involved in patient care to provide the best quality care to each patient
  • Communicating with the psychiatrists and the medical doctors relating to each patient.
The ideal candidate would have knowledge of basic nursing skills, have the ability to pay attention to detail, have open or flexible availability, and a high patient focus drive. Healthcare and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred but not required.
Job Requirements:
  • Clear and active LPN License
  • CPR Certification- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
  • Must be able to pass an AHCA Level II Background Screening
  • Must be drug-free
