School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

A fulfilling contract opportunity is available for a dedicated LPN/LVN ready to support a young elementary student through the school day, beginning in August. This full-time position is based on-site, with a single school assignment and includes caring for a student throughout the school day and during bus rides. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the student's safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing support to an elementary-aged student, including bus riding to and from Ft. Pierce. Perform trach suctioning, tube feeding, oxygen monitoring, and toileting assistance. Monitor the student's health status, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies. Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to optimize the student's experience. Maintain meticulous documentation and follow individual health plans.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Active LPN/LVN license in good standing. Current CPR/BLS certification. Experience with trach care, feeding tubes, and pediatric nursing preferred. Ability and willingness to ride the bus daily with the student. Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure. Adaptable, with a professional approach to communication and teamwork.
