We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting patient care, clinical operations, and care coordination while working closely with the physician and staff to provide an exceptional patient experience. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and medical histories. Prepare patients for examinations and assist the physician during office visits as needed. Administer injections and medications according to physician orders and state regulations. Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection when appropriate. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and disease management, with special emphasis on diabetes care. Reinforce physician instructions and ensure patient understanding of care plans. Care Coordination & Administrative Support Manage patient communications through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Triage patient messages and clinical concerns, escalating issues appropriately to the physician. Assist with prescription refill requests according to established protocols. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and prior authorizations. Process Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and diabetic supplies. Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, laboratories, imaging centers, and referring providers as needed. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Maintain examination room cleanliness, stocking, and organization. Qualifications Required Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient clinical workflows. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Preferred Previous experience in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care. Experience managing diabetes patients, CGM devices, insulin pumps, and injectable therapies. Experience with prior authorizations, referrals, and insurance coordination.
