The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, demonstrate excellent clinical skills, and have experience working in diverse healthcare settings. This role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care while supporting our mission to enhance patient well-being and safety. The LPN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders, including IV infusions and other specialized treatments. Conduct patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, evaluating symptoms, and documenting clinical findings using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, wound dressing changes, tube feeding, and specimen collection/processing. Support patients with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort through proper positioning, hygiene, and mobility assistance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients' needs, including those with dementia or developmental disabilities. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to protect patient privacy and safety. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding standards such as ICD-10 or CPT coding when applicable. Requirements Valid LPN license in good standing with the appropriate licensing board. Prior experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation purposes. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal ventilator management, or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of advanced nursing skills including IV insertion/insertion techniques, medication administration, and sterile processing techniques. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to patient assessment and treatment. Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient interaction; experience in triage or emergency medicine is advantageous.
