Role Overview As a Medical Assistant or LPN in our busy Cardiology practice, you will support providers in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care while ensuring efficient daily clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments Obtain patient histories and prepare patients for visits Record vital signs and document clinical information in the EMR Perform routine clinical procedures and specimen collection as needed Follow up on diagnostic testing, referrals, and provider orders Communicate test results and care instructions to patients Maintain patient education materials and support care coordination Manage medical equipment and clinical supplies Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and BayCare standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Preferred Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical training Experience Preferred Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or specialty clinic Cardiology experience preferred Licensure / Certification Required Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six (6) months of hire OR proof of active license/certification as one of the following: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) NREMT (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician) Paramedic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Additional Preference If you have completed a Medical Assistant externship, please include the location and dates on your application and resume.
