LPNs provide routine care to patients, which includes monitoring vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration), assisting with personal hygiene, and helping patients with daily activities such as bathing and dressing. Responsible for administering medications as prescribed by physicians and educating patients about their medications and potential side effects. Observe patients for changes in their condition and report these observations to registered nurses or physicians. Includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting care provided, patient responses, and any changes in condition. This is crucial for ongoing patient care and treatment planning. Assist doctors and registered nurses with procedures and treatments, which may include preparing equipment, assisting during examinations, and performing basic medical procedures like wound care and catheter insertion. Provide education to patients and their families about health management, including dietary recommendations, exercise, and preventive care.
