This position ensures residents receive high quality, person centered care white maintaining compliance with state regulations, company policies, and best practices in dementia care. The wellness director leads and supports the clinical care team, promotes residents well-being, and fosters a compassionate environment that insures quality of life. Direct and oversee all residents care services, Ensure individualized service plans are developed, implemented and updated. Conduct resident assessments and monitor change in condition. Review and monitor medication administration practices and documentation. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and lead the care staff. Provide ongoing coaching, education and support team meetings. Develop staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care. Conduct regular staff meetings and training focused on dementia care and best practices. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations governing assisted living and memory care services. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation. Prepare for and participate in state surveys, inspections, and audits. Implement policies and procedures that support regulatory compliance and quality assurance. Monitor incidents, accidents, infections, and falls and implement corrective action plans. Conduct quality assurance reviews and clinical audits. Promote resident safety and infection control practices throughout the community. Work closely with the Executive Director, Culinary Director, and other department leaders to ensure comprehensive resident care. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. Strong leadership and team building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound clinical decisions. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to multitask.
