POSITION SUMMARY
Rayrac Healthcare Services LLC, is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced LPNs to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to a pediatric client with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric nursing experience and be comfortable providing G-tube care, feeding pump management, seizure management, medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation .
IMPORTANT
The selected nurse must be willing and able to attend school with the client during the school week and provide nursing support throughout the school day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide safe, compassionate, person-centered nursing care. Attend school with the client and provide continuous nursing support. Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments. Provide and monitor G-tube feedings and feeding pumps . Monitor and appropriately respond to seizure activity according to the Healthcare Plan. Monitor vital signs and changes in the client's health or behavior. Recognize and promptly report changes in condition or medical concerns. Maintain accurate nursing notes, MARs, progress notes, and required documentation. Follow physician orders, Healthcare Plans, agency policies, and applicable DBHDD requirements. Collaborate with the family, physicians, school personnel, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary team. Maintain client dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and safety at all times.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current, active Georgia LPN license. Minimum 3 years of pediatric nursing experience. Experience with G-tube feeding and feeding pumps . Experience caring for individuals with seizure disorders . Medication administration and strong clinical documentation skills. Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment. Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, professional, compassionate, and patient. Must be willing and able to attend school with the client.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience working with individuals with IDD . Familiarity with the Georgia DBHDD system . Experience with
NOW/COMP
waiver services. Familiarity with ISP, Healthcare Plans, and Behavior Support Plans. Pediatric home health, private-duty nursing, or school nursing experience. Experience caring for non-verbal individuals with complex medical needs.
