•Rotating Fulltime shift from 7P-7A
•The LPN will plan and work with the RN to provide nursing care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in the Behavioral Health Unit, in accordance with all standards governing our facility. The LPN maintains overall departmental operations aligned with the facility's mission and vision, participates in performance improvement activities, and supports an environment focused on high quality, patient centered care. This role works closely with the nursing team and reports to the Charge Nurse or Program Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Ensure continual delivery of high-quality nursing care Support and implement nursing practices that improve patient care and unit operations Maintain compliance with professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements Maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment Provide direct patient care, including supporting social and emotional needs Assist with and oversee medication schedules as directed Monitor and evaluate patient progress and condition Support and mentor MHT and other clinical staff as needed Work effectively in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current LPN License in the state of Georgia Two (2) or more years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred Current ACLS preferred At Jenkins County Medical Center, our behavioral health team is built on consistency, teamwork, and a strong commitment to our patients and community.
