Job Description

This full-time, contract Licensed Practical Nurse opportunity centers on providing compassionate and attentive 1:1 care for a 5th grader requiring medical support throughout the school day and transit. Your skills will be crucial as you join a dedicated educational team making a difference in a childs daily experience.
Qualifications:
Valid and active LPN license in Georgia Prior experience supporting students 1:1 in a school or pediatric setting preferred Comfortable administering G/J-tube feeds, changing, and monitoring vital signs Skilled in managing seizure protocols, supplemental oxygen, asthma, oral suctioning, and medication administration Reliable transportation for traveling to the students home each morning and afternoon Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
Meet the student at home each morning, accompany on the school bus, remain with the student through the school day, and return to the home via bus after school as required by IEP and medical orders Administer g-tube feedings, provide oral suctioning, supply supplemental oxygen as needed, and monitor all vitals throughout the day Respond rapidly and effectively to any medical emergencies, including seizures or asthma concerns Maintain accurate documentation on care provided and collaborate regularly with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers Establish a positive, trustworthy rapport with the student, fostering an inclusive and supportive educational experience This rewarding position offers the chance to truly support one childs success and well-being, making a meaningful contribution within a vibrant school setting.
