An experienced Licensed Practical Nurse is sought to provide dedicated, 1:1 care for a 5th-grade student during the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires compassionate care and skill in meeting complex medical needs. Start your mornings by greeting the student at home, accompanying them during school transportation, and supporting their health throughout the school day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current, active LPN license in the state of Georgia Previous experience providing 1:1 care to students in a school environment highly preferred Proficiency with g-tube feedings, oral suctioning, seizure management, oxygen administration, asthma care, and medication distribution Ability to follow individual medical plans and doctor's orders Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and school staff
Position Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive daily care, including g-tube and G/J-tube feeding, seizure monitoring, and oral suctioning as necessary Administer supplemental oxygen and track vital signs throughout the day Implement and document medication administration and other medical interventions in line with IEP and physicians' directives Meet the student at home each morning, ride the bus to and from school, and ensure safe transitions per care requirements Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to support student well-being Maintain accurate, thorough records of care provided This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering steady, weekday shifts and the chance to build strong relationships while making a direct impact.
