Join Our Team:
ENT Nurse (RN/LPN/MA) Are you a nurse or medical assistant who is passionate about facial surgery and delivering exceptional patient care? If you're looking for a position that offers variety, hands-on procedural experience, and the opportunity to work closely with our surgeon, we'd love to meet you. Our ENT practice is seeking an exceptional nurse to join our team. This unique position combines our ENT practice with a complementary role in our facial plastic and surgical aesthetics practice. You'll work side-by-side with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist, caring for patients throughout their surgical and treatment journey. Your days will include assisting with consultations and procedures, providing perioperative care and patient education, assisting in office surgery, and supporting patients through recovery. You'll also spend time caring for patients in our comprehensive ENT practice, helping deliver high-quality medical and surgical care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Prior surgical and customer service experience is a plus, but it is not required. We value curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Patient Care Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist physicians during office procedures and surgeries. Administer medications and wound care. Perform blood draws, specimen collection, suture removal, and dressing changes. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and postoperative care. Clinical Coordination Coordinate surgical scheduling with hospitals and surgery centers. Obtain prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, referrals, and medications. Coordinate laboratory and diagnostic testing. Ensure required records are available before patient visits. Clinical Operations Sterilize instruments following infection control standards. Monitor inventory and order clinical supplies. Perform monthly equipment inspections. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record. Cross-train to provide allergy services, including allergy injections, as needed Administrative Support Assist with telephone triage. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Answer patient questions. Assist with insurance documentation and pre-certifications. Cross-train and assist other departments as needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to physicians, patients, family members, and/or public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
CRITICAL THINKING AND REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to multi-task and make autonomous decisions.
Typical Physical Demands:
Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position involves standing for extended periods of time. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. On some occasions, the employee may need to assist patients experiencing medical emergencies, including providing physical support when necessary. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. Employee will be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis.
Typical Working Conditions:
Employee will have frequent exposure to communicable diseases, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Position Status:
This is a non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Wednesday, Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
