JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves to primarily assist clinic healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments and procedures as they may be performed within a clinic setting under the direction of the provider; within the scope of the professional license. This position maintains responsibility for patient medical record and documentation, collection and preparation of specimens, and administration of medications as ordered by the provider. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities: Graduate of an accredited program for LPNs or CMAs Certification/Licensure in the States of Iowa. Previous acute or clinic experience. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Must possess a valid Iowa driver's license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements, if applicable. Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy, if applicable. High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others. Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. Basic computer knowledge Technical and Critical Thinking Skills in relation to sound nursing judgment Knowledge of skilled nursing practices.
