Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a private-duty client in Orland Park, Illinois . We are currently building a reliable team of LPNs to support a 24/7 care schedule , with available 12-hour day and night shifts . This is an excellent opportunity for LPNs looking for consistent hours, meaningful patient relationships, and a supportive clinical environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in private duty settings, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support to enhance patient comfort and well-being. Conduct detailed patient assessments, document medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately and promptly. Implement specialized care plans for individuals with conditions like Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities, ensuring safety and dignity. Manage IV infusions, catheter care, tube feeding, and other advanced procedures following sterile techniques and clinical protocols. Collaborate closely with families and caregivers to communicate patient needs effectively and provide education on health management strategies. Respond swiftly to emergent situations such as acute pain episodes or respiratory distress by applying first aid skills and critical thinking. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification in good standing. Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities; experience in assisted living or skilled nursing preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Knowledge of infection control practices, HIPAA regulations, and long-term care standards to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Dependable attendance and commitment to scheduled shifts. Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts . Reliable transportation to the Orland Park area. Pay:
$30.00 per hour
