What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Complete nursing assessments and assist with new admissions Administer medications and monitor effectiveness Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms and changes in condition Communicate with medical and psychiatric providers Provide medication, health, wellness, and recovery education Support clients receiving medications for addiction treatment (MAT) Respond to medical and behavioral health concerns Collaborate with therapists, case managers, recovery staff, providers, and other members of the treatment team Participate in treatment and discharge planning Support and encourage clients throughout the recovery process Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation New to Addiction Nursing? That's Okay! Experience in addiction treatment, medications for addiction treatment (MAT), behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing is valuable, but addiction nursing experience is not required. Nurses from many different clinical backgrounds bring skills that translate well to this setting. Schedule & Opportunities Hope Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with nursing coverage around the clock. Nursing opportunities may include day, night, weekend, holiday, full-time, and PRN coverage, depending on current staffing needs. Many nursing shifts are 12-hour shifts, allowing for fewer scheduled workdays during the week. We understand that nurses also have responsibilities outside of work. Depending on the position and staffing needs, we are happy to discuss scheduling options for nurses balancing school, childcare, family responsibilities, another position, or other commitments.
