Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a weekend option, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care. In this role, you will provide compassionate nursing support during weekends, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care across various settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and acute care environments. Your proactive approach and clinical skills will help promote patient well-being, safety, and comfort while adhering to all regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including geriatric individuals, those with developmental disabilities, and patients requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders, including injections, and catheter care. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs. Document all nursing activities precisely within electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures. Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions like Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or acute pain management needs. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with long-term care regulations and best practices. Support emergency response efforts by managing airway issues, performing first aid, and utilizing CPR or basic life support techniques when necessary. Experience Valid LPN license in good standing with current state requirements. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or home & community care settings. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Epic for accurate medical documentation. Experience providing specialized care including IV infusion therapy, hospice support, infectious disease management, or behavioral health interventions. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and clinical confidentiality policies is highly desirable. Background working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities enhances your ability to deliver compassionate senior and memory care. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration protocols, and emergency procedures such as ventilator management or spinal tap procedures. Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
