Job Description

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed,non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff. The Occupational Health Nurse is an LPN who assists with Occupational Health with including drug testing, paternity testing, hearing and vision screening, spirometry screening and Physical Capacity Program testing. Such screenings will be conducted in clinic as well as on site health and wellness fairs at participating businesses. S/he will also manage administrative and operational activities such as tracking test results, reporting, data entry, filing, and appointment scheduling.
JOB DUTIES
Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance Prepare testing rooms, ensuring cleanliness, for evaluations Administer drug, paternity, hearing, vision, spirometry and PCP testing Complete lab controls and proficiency testing, as needed Obtain specimens, perform lab duties, draw blood and chart results, as needed Report lab, X-Ray and other diagnostics to patients and clients as permissible Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy The Occupational Health Nurse LPN assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred Ability to travel locally and regionally up to a sixty-mile radius Proficient in taking vitals, as well as administering drug (blood and urine), paternity, hearing, vision, spirometry, and physical capacity program testing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program, required Current LPN licensure with the State of Kansas, required BLS, required 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferred Current, unrestricted driver's license and vehicle insurance, required Basic understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety, required 1-year Occupational Health experience, preferred Drug and Alcohol testing certification, preferred DNA testing certification, preferred Auditory screening certification, preferred Vision screening certification, preferred Spirometry testing certification, preferred Physical Capacity Program testing certification, preferred We are excited to learn about you and hope you join us on a shared mission serving every generation with patient centered, compassionate care.
