1 Private Duty Nursing professionals to provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes throughout the Kansas City area. Our private duty nurses work one-on-one with one pediatric patient , giving you the opportunity to learn your patient's unique needs, build relationships with their family, and provide consistent, hands-on nursing care. Instead of managing multiple patients at once, you can focus your attention on your patient's clinical needs, safety, comfort, and quality of life. Our pediatric patients may have complex medical needs requiring skilled nursing care in the home. We have multiple pediatric cases available and are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team! Depending on your patient's individualized plan of care, responsibilities may include: G-tube care and feedings Medication administration and management Trach care Ventilator care Seizure monitoring and precautions Vital signs and ongoing patient assessment ADL and mobility assistance Monitoring for changes in condition Communicating changes or concerns to the clinical team Accurate and timely electronic documentation Collaborating with families, providers, and the BrightStar Care clinical team Following physician orders and the individualized plan of care Providing care according to Kansas nursing standards, BrightStar Care policies, and Joint Commission standards Specific responsibilities vary based on each pediatric patient's needs and plan of care. 1 Private Duty Nursing candidates must have: Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing in the State of Kansas Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Negative TB screening within the required timeframe Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality Laptop or tablet available for electronic charting in the patient's home Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull as required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds depending on patient needs Need BLS certification?
