Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to obtain and maintain an A license Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certificate issued by the state of . This vital role involves providing high-quality medication administration and patient care within various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting individuals across diverse care environments. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with state regulations and facility policies Monitor and document patient responses to medications, vital signs, and overall health status using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with daily patient care activities including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition support, especially in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain meticulous medical documentation adhering to HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology standards Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or those requiring hospice or palliative care Conduct assessments related to physiology, anatomy, and medication management including tube feeding, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring Requirements Valid A license CMA certificate issued by the state of with active certification status Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical records management Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medication administration protocols, and HIPAA compliance Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or complex health conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia Ability to perform tasks involving tube feeding, catheter care, vital signs measurement, and medication administration with precision Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient-centered care Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
