Job Description
Kensington Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically skilled Admissions Nurse to serve as the first point of contact for new residents and their families. What You'll Do Coordinate and facilitate admissions from hospitals, physicians, and other referral sources. Review clinical referrals to determine appropriateness for admission. Complete admission assessments, nursing documentation, and physician orders. Ensure all required admission paperwork is accurate and complete. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a seamless transition into the facility. Communicate with residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners throughout the admission process. Verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and other admission requirements as needed. Help maintain optimal census through outstanding customer service and timely response to referrals. Serve as a clinical liaison between the facility and referral sources. Qualifications Current Kentucky LPN license in good standing. Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance authorizations is a plus. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel throughout the community. Why Join Us?
