Our facility is currently seeking energetic, full-time Licensed Practical Nurses to join our family at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation!! Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for total nursing care of residents assigned to the unit including but not limited to: (medication administration, glucometer checks, insulin administration, wound treatments, complete charting, and documentation, vitals, etc.) Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of oneself, staff, and residents Respond to emergency situations using nursing judgment, activating appropriate alarm systems, contacting responsible personnel and/or first responders Report any allegations of abuse and/or neglect accordingly by following the chain of command and knowing how to contact the compliance hotline Abide by HIPAA regulations and report any violations Oversee staff including but not limited to: (CNAs and/or LPNs) Review documentation, enter new orders, and report any changes to the MD/APRN Obtain lab specimens: (blood samples; urine, stool, and sputum cultures; Covid nasal specimens)
Qualifications:
Active LPN/LVN license in KY and/or compact state unexpired and in good standing BLS certified: Facility provides recertification on site
Experience:
At least 1-year long-term care experience is preferred but not required At least 1-2 years LPN/LVN experience
