Pay:
$22.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN to join our healthcare team strictly as an On Call Nurse. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Required to be on call 7 days at a time in rotation with 3 other nurses. Each business day on call will be from 4:30PM-8:30AM. Weekends and 'business closed' days scheduled will be 24 hours.
Pay:
$40 for each week day on call $60 for each weekend day and holiday on call $22/hr if you have to go on site $0.45 per mile when you have to go on site Responsibilities Answer the phone when staff call and asses the situation in a professional and and swift manner Communicate with the other nurses when a medical emergency arises. Travel to our community homes in the Delhi/Rayville area in the event of a medical emergency Evaluate the nature of the call and determine the appropriate action necessary, which may include a trip to the ER Qualifications Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Louisiana. Reliable Transportation is a must Experience working with Intellectually Disabled is preferred. Knowledge of infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
