Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including those with developmental disabilities, infectious diseases, and behavioral health needs. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and standards. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Perform basic patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Assist in procedures such as gastric lavage and catheter care. Implement infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients. Provide care for patients with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Support patients with behavioral health issues through compassionate care and effective communication. Educate patients and their families about health management, including the use of durable medical equipment (DME). Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Proficient in aseptic technique to prevent infections during procedures. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of ophthalmology practices related to patient care. Ability to provide comprehensive infectious disease care. Strong understanding of infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education. Compassionate approach to behavioral health support.
